2026 【The 7th Feng Chia University International Students Chinese Speech & Singing Contest】 Registration Now Open!

The 7th Feng Chia University International Students Chinese Speech & Singing Contest aims to provide a stage for international students to showcase their achievements in learning Chinese through speech or singing, while building confidence and self-expression.

This contest is sponsored by the Taipei Feng Chia University Alumni Cultural and Educational Foundation and alumni enterprises. A total of 32 prizes will be awarded, with the First Prize of NT$12,000 and a total prize pool of NT$126,000!

The preliminary round is only 2 minutes long, so don’t worry about vocabulary, pronunciation, or accent—just speak or sing out loud with confidence, and you could take the prize money home!

1. Contest Description

The contest is divided into two categories:

• Speech Category
• Singing Category

Participants may compete individually or in teams of 1–2 people.
For team entries, both members must speak or sing. Each participant may register for only one category and may not register multiple times. Teams may be formed across departments and grade levels.

Each category will select 10 finalists to advance to the final round.

2. Topics for Each Category

Speech Topic: “AI and Me”
Participants may share their experiences using AI, how AI has changed their learning or daily life, or their thoughts and feelings about AI. Both positive and negative experiences—personal or observed—are welcome.

Singing Song Selection:
Songs are chosen by the participants, with at least 80% of the lyrics in Chinese.

3. Prizes

• First Prize: NT$12,000 (1 winner per category)
• Second Prize: NT$10,000 (1 winner per category)
• Third Prize: NT$8,000 (1 winner per category)
• Fourth Prize: NT$5,000 (3 winners per category)
• Fifth Prize: NT$3,000 (4 winners per category)

Preliminary Round Bonus:

• Potential Award: NT$1,000 (6 winners per category)

4. Eligibility

The contest is open to international students and overseas Chinese students currently enrolled at Feng Chia University (including short-term exchange students), whose native language is not Chinese.
Students from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Malaysia are not eligible.

Participants who won the First Prize in either category in the 6th edition of this contest are not eligible to register for the same category again.
